Lisa Blaun, Local Dance Teacher

Lisa Blaun was born in Upstate New York.  This is where she received the start of her dance training.  Lisa trained at Images In dance in Acrobatics, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Modern, Musical Theater, Jazz, and Tap.  She has performed in numerous competitions such as Onstage New York, NYCDA (New York City Dance Alliance), Star Power, Star Systems, and Jump.  Not only was Lisa dancing and obtaining different techniques of dance, she was also starting her teaching career. Lisa had assisted her teachers in many classes before she was given the opportunity to teach her own classes. At age 15 Lisa began to teach and fall even more in love with dance. Not only was she a dancer and a teacher, she also was involved in her school as a cheerleader. This was all before the age of 18.

As Program Coordinator of the Mission Services for Goodwill's Richmond Hill Job Connection, she inspires others on a daily basis. However, her encouraging words do not end there, she loves creating an atmosphere for learning and growth.


LaDonna’s childhood dream was to become an author, she found her love for words at an early age and started writing poetry as a pre-teen. Reaching her dream, LaDonna self- published her first book, Expressions of the Mind, Body, & Soul. Her book signing was held, October of 2011 in Fayette, Mississippi at the Jefferson County Library. The book consists of collective poetry about love, relationships, spirituality, and encouragement. LaDonna’s motto is, “poetry is an outlet for the heart”. She hopes by reading this book it will enrich your soul.

LIVE interviewed Angus McLeod, a local city leader in Richmond Hill, about his involvement in the community. We got to enjoy the early morning on the beautiful Ogeechee River where Angus resides. He has been involved in the community for over 25 years and has an extensive knowledge of the area. It was a great pleasure to have the opportunity to interview him and get to know more about what he is involved in. As you can see on the video below, he has his "hands" in a large variety of events that go on in Richmond Hill.

LIVE interviewed Bill Henderson, a native of Richmond Hill, who grew up playing sports in Richmond Hill schools and graduated from Richmond Hill High School. He is now the head basketball coach at Richmond Hill High School.


Coach Henderson teaches 9th and 10th grade World History and 12th grade American Government. He teaches around 90 students during the day. Along with being the head basketball coach, he is also an assistant coach for the Richmond Hill High School baseball team.

Marine Corps Captain Matthew Freeman was killed in action in Afghanistan on August 7, 2009. He was an Annapolis graduate and a fighter pilot who had volunteered for ground duty in Afghanistan. He was 29 years old and newly wed to Theresa, his high school sweetheart. Matt was a Richmond Hill native son, and truly, our American hero! Standing before a display honoring Matthew’s life at the Bryan County Administrative Annex, his mother, Mrs. Lisa Freeman, spoke with Richmond Hill GA LIVE about the support her family received from our community following Matthew’s death and how the community has rallied to honor his memory and his sacrifice in the three years that have passed since his death.

But this popular teacher doesn’t just talk-the-talk about government and politics; he teaches by example by serving his community as a member of Richmond Hill’s City Council. Russ will be telling us his story about what it was like growing up in Richmond Hill, his teaching career, and how he got involved in politics.

My name is Lucas Lee Gratz. I am a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army with the Military Police Corps. I am married to my beautiful wife, Anne Gratz, of thirteen years and have three wonderful children (Luke Jr. 12, Peyton 7, Jackson 2). We have lived in Richmond Hill, GA since August of 2009 and are co-owners of Snapolgy, an educational learning with Legos® program. I was born on 04 May 1971 in Wheeling, WVA but grew up in the small town of Houston in Pennsylvania just south of Pittsburgh. I attended Chartiers Houston High School in Houston, PA and Graduated in June of 1989.

LIVE interviewed Bill Eberlein, a teacher at Savannah Technical College and the president of Richmond Hill’s Rotary Club. As some of you know, Bill has a very interesting hobby; he dives off the Richmond Hill Coast for 2 million year old fossils. Bill usually dives for Megalodon teeth. Megalodons are extinct prehistoric sharks from the Miocene epoch, 15 to 20 million years ago, and the Florida Museum of Natural History puts adults at 60 feet long and 77 tons. Teresa Merritt has been teaching dance since she was 14-years-old. Her family moved to Richmond Hill, where she began teaching dance at several different places around town. She finally opened her first studio in September of 1999, which is Life Moves Dance Studio, right here in our community.
