Last Sunday, July 27, 2014, The Ice Cream Stop celebrated their 5th birthday and what better way to commemorate than throwing a party? Over 400 locals came to show their appreciation to Mr. Bill and Mrs. Gayle Pollard and thank them for all the joy they've brought to our community.

Nearly 150 runners and walkers hit the streets around the Richmond Place Subdivision early Saturday morning for the 2nd Annual Red Hot Chili Pepper 5k to raise money for the Thornwell Home for Children.

Because Bryan County Emergency Services has 2 brand new remounted ambulances and 3 slightly used medium duty ambulances with a total new look. Thanks to a donation from Orafol, the reflective material and graphic design has enhanced the ambulances’ visibility, especially at night.

The Dolphin Project Celebrates 25th Anniversary

On Saturday, July 19th, The Dolphin Project celebrated their 25th Anniversary at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill, GA. The celebration began at 6:00pm. The storm drowned out the band temporarily but didn't damper the fun. The Christy Alan Band got everyone up on their feet dancing, and JThomas Catering provided delicious low country boil and BBQ. The Bottlenose Boutique was open, selling TDP merchandise and fabulous books for all ages. The silent auction, with wonderful items ranging from original art to Tuscany villas to autographed books and restaurant gift cards, provided funding for salinity testing equipment for TDP research surveys. Members and guests had a great time celebrating TDP's 25 years of Dolphin Research.

The Richmond Hill Swim Team competed this past weekend on Saturday July, 12th at the Savannah Coastal Swim League City Meet in Savannah. There were 8 local teams at the swim meet.  We are very proud of our Richmond Hill swimmers.  We had 8 in the Top 8 of the city and 4 in the Top 3 of the city.  This is a huge accomplishment!
