Chamber to Host Candidate Meet & Greet Political Forum

Richmond Hill, GA – The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will host a Political Forum on Monday, July 23 from at the Richmond Hill City Center. Networking will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the formal program will go from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

This is a county-wide election and all candidates who have qualified for their respective races have been invited to attend. Given time constrains only those candidates in contested races will be given an opportunity to speak during the formal presentation.

In addition, there will be a T-SPLOST update. On July 31st voters in Georgia will get a choice to approve a 1% sale tax to fund transportation needs in their communities. Local officials developed a list of high needs projects in their region requiring funding in order to maintain existing transportation facilities, improve accessibility and reduce congestion. This funding is specific to transportation projects in the Coastal Region and Bryan County.

The T-SPLOST presentation will be facilitated by Ray Pittman and Mike Sisco, co-chairs of the Bryan County T-SPLOST committee.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend so they may have information they need to cast an informed vote in July. There is no charge to attend the Chamber’s Political Forum.
