If you live in Bryan County you probably heard Christmas music playing from a fire truck riding through your neighborhood on which Santa was riding, and on several occasions a lighted Coke truck was following. During those rides Santa passed out candy canes, but more importantly he collected unwrapped toys for boys and girls.

Firefighters, family members and their friends filled the Bryan County Emergency Services Fire Station 7 on Monday, December 22nd for its Annual Promotional Ceremony, Badge Pinning and Firefighter of the year award presentation.

Richmond Hill's Rotary Club and Life Move Dance Studio Provided a Fun Afternoon for Children of Military Families

Here are some photos from last Saturdayâ€™s Rotary Club of Richmond Hillâ€™s thank you to military families when Life Moves Dance Teachers and Rotarians provided a fun afternoon for children providing games, tumbling, dance, bouncy house, movies, crafts, and more at Life Moves Dance Studio. Free childcare was provided to over 50 families so that active military could leave their children in safe hands from anything from 2-6 hours between 3.00-9.00pm on December 20th.

Hard Work Pays Off for Wildcats

The Wildcats began their season with no returning players from the previous year. As the members practiced together, their play began to improve and the team concept develop. Upon conclusion of the South Georgia Youth Football League season we found ourselves in 2nd place. After regular league play ended, the Wildcatâ€™s season was far from over. Many joined the troops at Fort McAllister on December 13, 2014 as they reenacted the taking of the fort by Union forces and General William T. Sherman on that day 150 years ago. The Richmond Hill Garden Club has awarded the December Yard of the Month to Sandy and Austin Andersen who live at 500 Greenwich in Richmond Heights Subdivision. Two Cleveland pears frame the Andersenâ€™s yard, and blooming sasanqua camellias brighten the front, their lovely pink color still attracting cloudless sulphur and gulf fritillary butterflies. Last weekâ€™s Pet Photos with Santa fundraiser at PawParazzi attracted 43 fur baby families and raised $1,000 towards the purchase of equipment for Bryan County Animal Control.
19th Annual Hometown Christmas Parade and Events Following
Richmond Hill kicked off the Christmas holiday this weekend with the annual Chili Cook-Off on Friday, December 5 and the 19th Annual Hometown Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6. This year's parade theme was "A Star Spangled Christmas".
